Day 1Casablanca – Rabat+
Hassan II Mosque, then Rabat: the Chellah ruins, the Hassan Tower and the Udayas medina.
Day 2Rabat – Tangier+
Drive north to Tangier. Caves of Hercules, Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, and the old medina.
Day 3Tangier – Chefchaouen+
Into the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen, with the afternoon free in the blue streets.
Day 4Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes+
The Roman ruins of Volubilis, the gates and granaries of Meknes, then on to Fes.
Day 5Fes city tour+
Royal palace, ceramics workshop, Borj Nord, the tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine and the medina lanes.
Day 6Fes – Ifrane – Merzouga+
Through the Middle Atlas, Ifrane and the cedar forest with its monkeys, down to the Sahara for a camel ride and a night at camp.
Day 7Merzouga – Todra – Dades Gorges+
Berber cooperatives, the Todra canyon and the rock formations of the Dades valley. Night in Dades.
Day 8Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech+
Ouarzazate, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an argan oil cooperative and the High Atlas pass to Marrakech.
